Located along the coastline of Port Phillip Bay and at arm’s reach of the Portsea Pier, Portsea House is the refurbishment of an existing two-storey residence.

The proposed scheme pays homage to the understated character of the house which is reminiscent of the modernist era. Adopting a sympathetic palette that draws inspiration from the surrounding coastal context, the refurbishment is also in synergy with the existing residence. The application of texture surfaces, specifically wall renders and unique paving, was carried from the interior out to the exterior to create continuity and successfully blur the boundary between previously separate environments.

The home has now become a sanctuary where our clients can find a shared respite in their beloved beachside property with friends and family.
